The Old Firm derby on Sunday had everything – goals, fights, red cards and fans going mad. It was clear why this is one of the fiercest rivalries in Europe.
Celtic took home a 2-1 victory over their rival in a nail-biting match that saw them go 13 points clear at the top of the table.
Celtic ace Scott Brown took the spotlight for all the wrong reasons (or right reasons, if you are Celtic) with his usual provocative behavior. Few minutes after Celtic opened scoring, Brown went on to step on Alfredo Morelos’ heel. Hot-headed Morelos retaliated by throwing an arm at Brown’s face only to get sent off by the ref.
This was Morelos’ 5th red card this season as a striker and he faces a 4 match ban. Brown made sure to laugh at his face diabolically as Morelos made his way out in the 32nd minute.
Rangers with 10 men however found an equaliser through Ryan Kent, only to go back down on 87th minute winner from James Forrest. As Kent went back to the centre for the kick off, Scott decided to chuck the ball away trying to get a reaction from Kent. And he got the reaction in the form of a punch to the face from Kent.

Ryan Kent who is on loan from Liverpool, now faces a 2 match ban for his actions. Scott Brown wasn’t done though. After the final whistle Scott went over to the Rangers fans to celebrate the victory in their face. Andy Halliday wasn’t having any of it and confronted Brown, only to get himself sent off.
As the game ended, Scott Brown, the wind up merchant that he is had inflicted a combined total of 7 games ban for Rangers players through his shenanigans.
Hopefully the Rangers players learn their lesson and can deal with provocateurs more gracefully in the future. That may not be the case with this particular fixture though as the Old Firm is always heated and on the edge and we won’t have it any other way!
