Arsenal fell to a 2-1 defeat to arch-rival Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday. Shambolic defending came-back to haunt Arteta’s men as the Gunners gave away a one-goal lead to Spurs.
The North London derby provided a spicy matchup between two long-term rivals desperately in need of the three points to save their blemishes in what has been a miserable season for both clubs.
Alexandre Lacazette’s thunderbolt was canceled out quickly by Spurs’ Song-Heung Min. Both sides were guilty of missing chances. On an evening when Kane and Aubameyang were expected to shine, both heavily misfired.
Aubameyang, in particular, would feel that he should have done better with the chance where he hit the crossbar from close range.
Toby Alderweireld’s 81st-minute header earned the Spurs faithful the bragging rights as Tottenham emerged as the derby winners.
More importantly, the win puts Tottenham 2-points ahead of the Gunners in the 8th position. The Spurs faithful finally received a much-needed reason for excitement from the club.
Tottenham fans can now use their bragging rights amongst their Arsenal counterparts. However, this Spurs fan decided to take it to the next level as he brutally trolled the Gunners captain at a gas station.
Twitter user @TFromT_ posted a video capturing Aubameyang filling up the tank of his golden Lambo. The Spurs fan went on to call out Aubameyang for Tottenham’s 2-1 win against his side, leaving the Gabonese striker red-faced.
