Alex Iwobi forced to delete Instagram post with private jet and Rolls Royce after backlash

The 2019-20 campaign was one to forget for Everton F.C. The Merseyside outfit’s final matchday defeat to Bournemouth meant that the club finished 12th in the Premier League and failed to qualify for European football.

Expectations were high last summer after the club confirmed the signings of Moise Kean from Juventus, André Gomes from Barcelona and Alex Iwobi from Arsenal, among others.

The team couldn’t perform to the expected level and it was a huge disappointment for the fans.

The players have now been granted a holiday before the training resumes for the next term and it seems some of the supporters have decided to vent out their frustration in a very bizarre manner.

Winger Alex Iwobi was pictured showing off his luxury lifestyle on social media while leaving for holiday in a private jet. The fact that there was a Rolls Royce also seen in the photo was a specific cause of concern for few fans.

The Nigerian’s performances have been way below the expected standard since his arrival at the club and the lavishness on display on Instagram did not sit well with a few Toffees supporters –

We now know how bad it got for the player as Iwobi was forced to not only delete the post that had the Everton supporters boiling with anger but also removed several other posts which had nothing to do with the backlash.
