Kylian Mbappe missed a penalty but it was Ousmane Dembele who became the talk of the town following France’s 2-0 World Cup qualifier win against Kazakhstan.
The Barcelona forward had an eventful outing as he was on the money when he put his nation ahead inside the opening 19 minutes of the game at Astana Arena.
But the 23-year-old also became the subject of laughter as he produced one of the worst corner kicks ever taken in the history of football. This sounds like an exaggeration, but it’s not.
In Dembele’s defence, a lot of the blame should also go towards the AstroTurf pitch at the arena.
