Thomas Tuchel was not happy with Ben Chilwell taking his own sweet time while executing a throw-in during the 1-0 against West Ham United on Saturday.
The former Borussia Dortmund and PSG manager could clearly see an opening to make the move and suggested Chilwell follow suit but the left-back ignored Tuchel and instead waited for another option to open up.
As annoyed as Tuchel was with Chilwell at this moment, it has to be said that the German’s handling of the Englishman has been top-drawer since he replaced Frank Lampard at the helm at Chelsea.
Tuchel had started Marcos Alonso in 6 out of his first 8 games and set out a challenge for the former Leicester fullback. To his credit, Chilwell reacted brilliantly to it and has been flawless defensively since becoming the first choice again.
