Lionel Messi attempts a shot at goal against Colombia

Lionel Messi produced a rare moment of failure when he fluffed a shot and skewed it wide during Argentina’s 2-2 World Cup qualifier draw against Colombia.

Though, it appears that even Messi’s howlers turn out to be perfect as the ball landed on Giovani Lo Celso’s feet and the subsequent move resulted in Albiceleste’s second goal of the night.

Argentina raced to a 2-0 lead at the Estadio Metropolitano in Barranquilla after Cristian Romero and Leandro Paredes struck inside the first 10 minutes. But the Los Cafeteros came back in the second half with a Luis Muriel penalty and a 94th-minute header goal from Miguel Borja.
