From Colney to Tokyo: Alexandre Lacazette lookalike spotted competing in the Olympics

Arsenal fans watching the ongoing Olympics have found themselves an athlete who shares an uncanny similarity with their own striker Alexandre Lacazette.

The Gunners faithful were left surprised to see their star striker competing in a 400-meter race in Tokyo rather than going through his shooting drills at Colney.

No, but seriously, the resemblance is unnatural.

The doppelganger in question is Machel Cedenio, a Trinidad & Tobago athlete.

Unfortunately for the duo, just as Lacazette suffered a defeat against Chelsea at the weekend, Cedenio bowed out of the Olympics after coming 6th in the semi-final of the Men’s 400m event.

You can’t fault the Arsenal fans for confusing Cedenio with Lacazette as, besides the similarity in their facial structure, even the upwards eye glare from the Trinidadian & Tobagonian is quite comparable to the Frenchman.

As it turns out, it wasn’t just the Arsenal star who had a lookalike competing in the Olympics.

Football fans also found Olympians who looked like spitting images of Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes and Barcelona forward Ousmane Dembele.
