All seems well at Liverpool FC. Aside from potentially teetering towards yet another injury crisis, Wednesday’s UEFA Champions League win over Atletico Madrid maintained the positive atmosphere surrounding the club, as they secured qualification for the next stage of the competition.
While there were several takeaways from the game – most notably the home support’s reception of Luis Suarez – the fanbase found an unlikely figure in Thiago Alcantara, whose striking appearance added to the charged atmosphere on the night.
The Spaniard returned to action for the first time since sustaining a calf injury in September, as he enjoyed a thirty-minute outing against Atletico.
Though the midfielder received a warm reception from the home support, fans soon noticed an unfamiliar element in his appearance.
Alcantara – often shaven-headed and devilish in his demeanour – appeared for the first time sporting ravishing looking black hair on his head since his arrival at Anfield last summer.
