This Aaron Wan-Bissaka back pass against Burnley went horribly wrong

A largely altered Manchester United grabbed a 3-1 win against Burnley last night.

While the performance itself was far from flawless, United’s play did have a bit more fluency, especially when compared to their draw against Newcastle.

The game brought about numerous positives for United fans including a wonderful finish from Scott McTominay, however, a rather average performance from fullback Aaron Wan-Bissaka stands out as a reason for concern.

The former Crystal Palace man has been rather hit or miss at Old Trafford so far and has been unable to find consistency.

His recent outing against the Clarets has received some flak from United fans, and justly so.

Going by the stats the 24-year-old lost possession 14 times in total and additionally lost out on 4 of the 5 aerial duels he contested.

The performance certainly cannot be categorized as poor but another middling display has understandably drawn-out frustrations from United fans.

A short clip from the game featuring Wan-Bissaka has gained popularity online and unfortunately for all the wrong reasons.

The clip sees the fullback completely lose composure upon being pressed by Burnley’s Erik Peters.

Upon receiving the ball, the fullback initially strides towards his box, seemingly opening up his body for a pass back to De Gea.

The trailing Erik Peters catches up to him and instead of following through with the pass, Wan Bissaka instead looks to spin his man, in a bid to break the press.

His attempt at trickery falls short due to a bad touch, forcing the fullback into a quick retreat.

To add to his blushes, Wan Bissaka then horribly miscues a pass back to his keeper, concluding a rather embarrassing clip.
