Manchester United has been having a tough season, despite signing the legendary Cristiano Ronaldo last year. Now under Ralf Rangnick, United are trying their level best to end the season in the top four.
However, the race for the Champions League spot could prove a little difficult with the Hammers and the Gunners edging in, just a couple of points demarcating them.
The January transfer window saw Ralf Rangnick cutting down the size of the squad by letting eight players out on loan, including Anthony Martial and Donny van de Beek.
Ralf Rangnick’s side is desperate this summer to get their hands on some new signings. One player that Rangnick is particularly fond of is Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham. However, they may face a serious blow after the latest video that has surfaced
BELLINGHAM BRUTAL RESPONSE
In a recent TikTok video, a fan is seen asking the England international whether he would join the Red Devils this summer.
“Are you going to Man U?” asked the fan.
Jude Bellingham laughed off at the question with a reply that has stabbed the United fans cold in the heart. He was seen walking off the video, saying, “Don’t be silly”.
The response has proven that Bellingham has completely ruled out the possibility for a switch.
The 18-year-old has been influential in Dortmund’s DFB-Pokal win last season. He has also earned a regular call-up in the England squad. Bellingham has been attracting the interest of several Premier League clubs.
Manchester United has been interested in Bellingham since his Birmingham days when he was called up for a tour of their Carrington training complex. Other than United, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich were also interested in the teenager.
However, Borussia Dortmund won the race by signing him for a record 25 million euros making him the most expensive 17-year-old in history. He is also the youngest English player to start a Champions League match.
RANGNICK’S PREVIOUS INTEREST
This is not the first time that Rangnick is looking to sign Bellingham. The German manager had been interested in the midfielder since he made his debut for Birmingham City.
In an interview as the RB Leipzig manager in 2020, he had said, “He’s an absolute top player; one of the best. I have rarely seen a 17-year-old playing at such a level. We scouted him for 18 months at RB. He’s simply extraordinary.”
Bellingham has three years left in his contract with Dortmund. He has been linked with several clubs, with Liverpool and Manchester United being the favourites.
However, Bellingham seems to enjoy his time in the Black and Yellow shirt. In a recent interview, he said, “I’d play every single day, if I have to, for this team”.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano has stated that it would be difficult for any club to sign Bellingham this season. He has claimed that Dortmund is considering Bellingham to be “untouchable” in the upcoming summer window.
The football updates guru told Anfield Watch: “If Erling Haaland leaves Dortmund in 2022, I don’t see Dortmund letting Bellingham leave as well. I’m told that he’s not desperate to leave. He’s a very smart guy, super professional.”
