Liverpool fans are sending Mohamed Salah a huge message with this new mural

Jurgen Klopp’s arrival at Liverpool marked the beginning of a new era for the club in many ways. Having joined the Reds in 2015, in just 4 years the German was able to oversee an almost complete squad overhaul culminating in the UCL, PL and League Cup win from 2019 onwards.

With rival clubs such as Man City, Chelsea and Man United seeing success during a tough period for the Reds (2012-2019), Liverpool fans have shown much love to their current manager and team for breaking the bad run.

While they have done much cheering and celebrating inside Anfield, Liverpool supporters have also taken to the public roads in and around the city to adorn a number of walls with exquisite murals featuring Klopp and co.

Jamaica Street features a “Klopp’s Champions of 2020” mural and a Jurgen Klopp mural combined with the slogan “We are Liverpool. This means more.”

Mohamed Salah: A New Liverpool Wall In His Honour

Anfield Road which is just outside the club’s stadium contains a mural dedicated to players such as Trent Alexander-Arnold and captain Jordan Henderson.

Both players have been vital to Liverpool’s recent successes and have produced the goods for the club on various occasions. Of course, alongside the likes of English players such as Trent and Henderson, Mo Salah too has been seen as a true local in Liverpool given his impact on the team.

The Egyptian has been the focal point of Klopp’s Liverpool attack and has 158 goal contributions (115 goals and 43 assists) for the Reds in the Premier League. Only Steven Gerrard (120 goals, 92 assists) has more goal contributions than Salah for the club in the PL.

It looks like Anfield Road will be getting a new addition to its collection of murals as works have almost finished for a new Mohamed Salah artwork, opposite The King Harry bar.

The mural under construction seems to resemble a similar style as the Alexander-Arnold mural, which has a black background on which appears the player in full kit with his back facing the viewer.

But Salah’s mural also has another part to it, to the right where the player is seen deploying one of his signature celebration moves after scoring a goal.

The Egyptian has been on fine form for Liverpool this season, leading the race for the PL Golden Boot with 20 goals and it is only fitting that he is rewarded with this show of love from the fans.

With his contract extension still in doubt, Liverpool fans would be hoping to convince Salah to stay through such a public display of affection for the player’s service to the club.
