The awkward moment Mo Salah squared up to Ibrahima Konate during kit photoshoot

Liverpool’s cup-treble chasing group are indeed a special one.

World-class talents everywhere you look, the perfect example of a cycle coming to fruition. After suffering through a troubled and injury-plagued season last year, the Reds have returned stronger, as a result of the entire squad pulling together.

When a side gels together as well as Liverpool does on the pitch, there’s definitely chemistry and understanding taking shape behind the scenes. There are plenty of instances of the brilliant camaraderie Reds share amongst themselves, and even newcomers have developed affinity rather quickly.

This was displayed in this clip featuring Mo Salah and the summer signing Ibrahima Konate.

Captured during a photoshoot for Liverpool’s 2022/23 season kit, the pair can be seen sharing an intense yet light-hearted moment.

Salah walks on over to the Frenchman, who evidently towers over him. The Egyptian jokingly squares up to the 6’5 Frenchman and offers a stern stare before walking away. Unfazed, Konate looks a relaxed figure, and at one point is visibly doing his best to hold in laughter.

Fans online loved the bit of banter between the pair, although that didn’t stop them from speculating on what might have caused the intense moment and who’d end up on top.

Considering his massive size, Konate was the obvious favourite.

However, Salah got a few shouts as well.

Judging by the clip, there’s no shortage of good yet competitive vibes within the group. The Reds will need all the positivity they can gather, as they head into the final few weeks of the season.
