Aside from being a global TikTok sensation, Khaby Lame has become well-known in the football fraternity.
Known for tackling overcomplicated clips with relative ease and for his nonchalant ‘pointing’, the TikToker turned his life around after the pandemic hit.
After humble beginnings, Khaby has now reached mega-stardom and can refer to a few footballing superstars as his buds. Examples include the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Achraf Hakimi, both of whom have met the TikToker numerous times. Khaby has also collaborated with stars such as Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Paul Pogba, Paulo Dybala etc.
However, only one player had Khaby starstruck.
Despite regularly rubbing shoulders with some of Football’s most famous, the 22-year-old simply couldn’t help being awestruck when he came across Lionel Messi.
The legendary Argentine has become a prime role model for an entire generation, and evidently, Khaby is another one of his admirers.

As seen in this clip posted by the TikToker, the two briefly meet at the Parc Des Princes. Messi comes out the tunnel, where he’s joyfully greeted by Khaby, who then looks on in equal parts disbelief and euphoria.
The post also included a caption which read – “The dream of every child, finally, I met him! A legend, a great player, a wonderful person! I have no words guys, look at my face.”
