Erling Haaland is one of the biggest talking points in the footballing world nowadays. One of the best strikers in the game, who also has the potential to become the best, he was wanted by every top club and their fans. As things stand, it is Manchester City who has won the race for his services.
His enigmatic personality too often is a topic of discussion. Various instances, such as turning up at a nightclub wearing club tracksuit, have left fans amused. The former Dortmund number 9 is full of surprises which leaves fans with more questions about him than answers.
Once again the Norwegian striker is trending on social media. In two separate photos, Haaland can be seen sporting the jerseys of Boca Juniors and Flamengo during his break after the season finished.
Supporters of the respective teams are clearly gassed. However, it is not the first time he has worn the jerseys of either team.
In 2021, while recovering from an injury, the forward was seen sporting a Flamengo Jersey. This was given to him by his now-former teammate Reinier, who once played for the Brazillian club. Haaland seems to cherish the gift as he has been spotted in it multiple times now.
With regards to Boca Junior, Haaland seems to be a fan. He was seen wearing the club’s jersey during the post-season break last year. That he has worn their kit twice indicates he has some affection for the club or its jersey.
Nonetheless, fans of both teams must be feeling honoured to have the star wearing their colours. Flamengo face rivals Fluminense next in the league. Having had a dire start to the season, perhaps seeing the Norwegian in their jersey will propel them up the league table.
