Memes Take Over as Kai Havertz Embraces Left Back Position for Germany

Last night, a struggling German football team faced against Turkey in an International friendly match.

The match was the first home match of new coach, Julian Nagelsmann as he suffered his first loss since taking over the job from Hansi Flick.

The match ended with Turkey prevailing over the German side by a win of 3-2. But the defeat wasn’t the biggest talking point fans took from the game.

Coach Nagelsmann decided to play Arsenal midfielder, Kai Havertz as a left back defender.

What surprised fans even further was that five minutes into the match, Havertz scored the opening goal.

This comes after Havertz delivered poor performances for Arsenal all season. He has been used as a striker, midfielder, right-winger, false-nine and No.10. But he is yet to show any progress after his move to Arsenal.
