West Ham United midfielder Tomas Soucek paid a touching tribute to teammate Michail Antonio after his goal in their 2-1 win over Wolves in the Premier League. The English forward was recently involved in an awful car accident and is rumoured to have broken both his legs in the process, but is stable after surgery.
The Hammers’ fans and players were determined to show their strong support of Antonio during the game against Wolves and Soucek did in a pretty sweet way. After scoring the looping header to put his side in front in the second half, the Czech Republic midfielder initially did his trademark celebration of moving in a circle before his tribute to Antonio.
Soucek pointed nine fingers towards the camera as a nod to the West Ham no.9, before also shouting Antonio’s name and kissing the camera in an endearing message to his injured teammate. After the goal, he also spoke to Sky Sports about the celebration and stated: “I dedicated it to him, I said to myself that I want to score even more today. Antonio has been here since I came and he’s been my favourite.
“It’s tough not to play a long time without him. This is for him, he’s a massive player and he’s in my heart. It was really tough. I was with the kids and I saw the information on my phone. I messaged everyone what I could on how he is. I wish him all the best, I was so scared as to what was going to happen.”
But something that caught many viewers’ attention during Soucek’s celebration, especially as he spoke to the camera, were the torrid condition of his teeth. The Czech Republic midfielder clearly doesn’t take that much care in whitening his teeth and it was clear that he has visibly yellow elements in his dental structure.
It’s not like Soucek’s teeth are bright yellow, but they are visibly in a pretty dismal state and even not well aligned as one’s dental state should be like. Normally as one person ages, their tooth enamel thins – which exposes an underneath dentin that has a yellowish color.
Teeth can also start becoming yellow based on a person’s diet. Consuming stuff like too much coffee, tea, sodas or even tomato sauce can cause this issue to creep up in a person. Regulary consuming sugary foods can also do this. In 2015, a BBC survey even claimed that four out of every ten footballers in Britain are dealing with tooth cavities.
For Soucke, there is no visible sign of cavity on his teeth but he clearly has a yellow hue issue. Of course, there are plenty of options available to the Czech Republic midfielder to fix the yellow teeth problem plaguing him. He could easily go for a premium teeth whitening service in London, with it estimated to cost around £600-£650 in the UK.
For someone who earns in millions each season, that shouldn’t be a problem at all. Moreover, many football personalities have also done such treatments in the past to fix their dental state. Former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp infamously had yellow, out-of-shape teeth which he fixed to get them shiny and white. It’s time Soucek consults some quality dentists to fix this teeth problem now or face even more big problems with his dental situation later in his life.
