FPL Latest: Is there a Blank Gameweek in GW29 — Which Teams are Going to Blank and More

Blank Gameweek, FPL, Gameweek 29

The double gameweek 24 is yet to conclude and all eyes were on the second leg of the Carabao Cup semi-finals. For, they were going to decide not only the teams with a double gameweek in GW25 but also, the teams who will be having a blank in GW29.

Arsenal were trailing by 0-2 from the first leg and went down by a 0-2 margin again in the reverse fixture, making it 0-4 on aggregate against Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United. On the other hand, Spurs wasted the 1-0 lead it had over league-leaders Liverpool from the first leg and the scoreline now reads 1-4 on aggregate after the second-leg of the semi-final.

Now, we know the teams which will be having a double date in gameweek 25. It’s time for owners with Liverpool assets to flex, as they will enjoy back-to-back double gameweeks. But there is also the flip-side of the coin. They are one of the teams who will not have a fixture in GW29.

Like double gameweeks, blank gameweeks too, demand special attention. You need to plan beforehand, make necessary changes to your transfer policy, and plan on the chips. Therefore, without further ado, let’s go through all the teams which are going to draw a blank in gameweek 29.

Liverpool

Salah and co. are in a juggernaut mode and Newcastle has a task cut out against Slot’s men in the Carabao Cup final at the iconic Wembley Stadium. However, this clash would keep the Reds away from the GW29 action, as the English League Cup final will overlap with the gameweek 29 matches of the PL.

Newcastle United

Eddie Howe can be immortalised by the Magpies, as he will be guiding Castle in their bid to win a major trophy after 56 years! Hence, there would be no Alexander Isak in blank gameweek 29.

Crystal Palace

Oliver Glasner’s Palace is not playing in any cup finals. However, they had Newcastle United as their opponent in blank gameweek 29 and will now draw a blank in BGW29. Therefore, we won’t be able to witness the overlapping runs and dangerous crosses from Daniel Munoz, the assist king of FPL.
