There’s still a week to go for the double gameweek 25 deadline and most of the fantasy managers must be crazy with another double gameweek in store. They didn’t see it coming. For sure. However, we informed you about back to back double gameweeks in Fantasy Premier League 2024-25.
The equations were aligned with the second leg semi-finals of the Carabao Cup and the fate has been sealed now. It is the end of the road for Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur and Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal. Incidentally, both of them could have enjoyed an extra match in double gameweek25, upon reaching the final of the English League Cup.
But destiny had other thoughts and currently, the FPL stars are not in their pathway. The same applies to Fulham and Chelsea, who have also missed out on a double gameweek.
Gameweek 24 is yet to finish, as the two Merseyside clubs Everton and Liverpool are slated to face each other. However, we can’t wait to know which are the teams that are going to have a double date in terms of fixtures in double gameweek 25.
Liverpool
Arne Slot’s Liverpool were clearly on the backfoot after trailing by a slender 0-1 margin from the first leg semi-final of the Carabao Cup against Tottenham Hotspur. However, Salah had another brilliant display of his immortal status in English top-flight as Liverpool trounced Spurs by 4-0 to win the contest through a 4-1 aggregate.
Therefore, as discussed earlier, Arne Slot’s men will have two matches in double gameweek 25. The first one will be a home fixture against Wolves, followed by a trip to Villa Park, where Unai Emery’s squad bolstered by the arrival of Marcus Rashford and Marco Asensio will be awaiting them.
Aston Villa
Aston Villa did a lot of smart business in the winter transfer window in January and despite losing [selling] Jhon Duran to Al Nassr, Emery’s boys look razor-sharp. They have already booked a direct berth in the last-16 of the UEFA Champions League and will be having two games in GW25.
Morgan Rogers and co. have two home games. One against the struggling Ipswich Town and the another against table-toppers Liverpool. They will surely be the team to beat at Villa Park.
