Bajcetic & Elliott Out: Liverpool’s Scouting Network Strikes Again

Liverpool

Over the years, Liverpool’s scouting department has unearthed talents who have gone on to shape the club’s success.

Many of the current first-team names, including Virgil van Dijk, Alisson Becker, and Mohamed Salah, were key signings who cemented their legacy at Anfield.

As the summer transfer window approaches, the Reds will once again be counting on their recruitment team to come in clutch.

The Merseyside club has remained relatively quiet in the last two transfer windows, with Federico Chiesa being their only major signing.

While the Reds currently sit 15 points clear at the top of the Premier League table, their real challenges will begin next season.

With key players like Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk, and Trent Alexander-Arnold nearing the end of their contracts, FSG faces a crucial summer of decisions to shape Liverpool’s future.

According to the Daily Mail, Liverpool has been linked with Middlesbrough midfielder Hayden Hackney.

The 22-year-old, who has been with the club since his youth days, has established himself as a regular for the Championship side.

Additionally, Liverpool is also monitoring Sunderland’s Chris Rigg. At just 17, Rigg has already made over 50 appearances, making him one of the best upcoming young talents.

Previously, Middlesbrough rejected a £10 million bid from Porto for Hackney in January, with the club valuing him at around £25 million.

With Stefan Bajcetic currently on loan at Las Palmas and reports suggesting Harvey Elliott could also be sent out on loan next season, either Hackney or Rigg could be a great value addition to Arne Slot’s squad.
