Morgan Gibbs-White Takes Clear Side in Nottingham Forest Power Struggle Between Nuno Espirito Santo and Marinakis

Morgan Gibbs-White, Nottingham Forest, Nuno Espirito Santo, Premier League

Nuno Espirito Santo brought Nottingham Forest back to European competition after 30 years. They held a UEFA Champions League spot for a long time, but their performances slipped at the end of the season, but they still managed to reach the UEFA Europa League, which is a major achievement for the sleeping giant. Without a doubt, the arrival of Nuno Espirito Santo has improved the team significantly and has even exceeded the expectations that many journalists had at the beginning of his arrival at Nottingham Forest.

But despite their relatively good performances, the Portuguese coach has been a topic of discussion because his relationship with Evangelos Marinakis, the club’s owner, has deteriorated significantly, and Marinakis apparently wants the Portuguese out.

And although he has already signed a contract until 2028, many fans truly hope the Portuguese coach won’t be fired, as many see last season as a complete success. They even consider him one of the league’s best managers and go so far as to say they expect the team to be relegated if Espirito Santo is fired.

As we said before, many fans support the Portuguese manager, there’s even a video shot from the City Ground stands showing fans chanting Nuno’s name. The video also features Morgan Gibbs-White, one of the team’s most important players, supporting the chants towards Nuno, which has gone viral online.

As many of us know, Gibbs-White was close to joining Tottenham Hotspur after the team paid his release clause, but Nottingham Forest refused to sell him. Despite this, Gibbs-White supports Espirito Santo and wants him to stay with them.

Despite this support, some believe Gibbs-White appears to be trapped within the team. Let’s hope that’s not the case and that Gibbs-White gives his all this season again.
