Eberechi Eze, 27, has finally returned to his boyhood club, Arsenal FC, for the first time since 2011. Many Gunners fans are encouraged by the attacking midfielder’s arrival because he clearly has what it takes to improve the London club’s offense. The Greenwich native was bought for €67.5 million from Crystal Palace, where he had become one of the most important players in the squad and the one who gave them the 2025 FA Cup after his goal in the final. In recent years, Eze had grown a lot as a footballer and many knew that he would soon leave this club.
After joining Arsenal FC, Eze will be given the number 10 shirt that Emile Smith Rowe left vacant a year ago. The deal was officially announced before Arsenal FC’s match against Leeds United. Its presentation was accompanied by a video featuring football legend Ian Wright, who, like Eze, would join Arsenal after playing for Crystal Palace.

While Arsenal FC fans were in high spirits, Crystal Palace fans, despite being saddened by the loss of their star, wished him the best of luck and thanked him for what he did for the club, such as winning the FA Cup in 2025.

Their reactions were very well received by the other fans since, instead of insulting him or anything like that, they were very grateful to him and wished him good luck. Even Arsenal FC fans praised this attitude and wished them congratulations on winning the aforementioned FA Cup.

We also think the reaction of Crystal Palace fans is top-tier, and that other fans of other English clubs should act in the best way possible and put the rivalry aside for a bit.
