Madueke was subbed off for Bukayo Saka after half time during the game on Sunday and the medical team has confirmed that he is out for two months, he luckily has not suffered an ACL as many had feared.

If you are on a wildcard Saka for just £9.8m seems really tempting. Saka’s minutes were a concern for managers early in the season due to a hamstring issue, but with Madueke now out for an extended period, the rotation risk has vanished.

Saka is now Arsenal’s unquestioned starter on the right wing. He’s a premium asset who’s proven he can deliver consistent FPL returns, and with favorable fixtures on the horizon, he’s a top priority for those looking to invest in Arsenal’s attack.

Eze as well could be another option for Madueke owners at just £0.5m more. He’s at a lower price point than Saka and is a fantastic differential. He has returned in 2/3 games that he has played for the Gunners and should be nailed as he can play both at number 10 and at LW.

Another controversial moment occurred in FPL. Reijnders finally came away with a return after his gameweek 1 haul, setting up the assist for Haaland and crucially earning 12 Defcon contributions to earn him an extra 2 points.

However this was changed to 11 on Monday but the Gameweek had ended on Sunday meaning the score could not have been changed. Lacroix hit Defcon but was not awarded the points due to the same error from Opta.

For the best player in FPL you would be expecting him to follow the template, make key transfers, buy differentials and captain players based on fixtures and projected data right?

Nope the current number 1 player has made 0 transfers and yes he is an active player as he used his triple captaincy chip on Joao Pedro for his 15 point haul against West Ham in Gameweek 2.

He has Raya as his keeper, great choice picking the best defence in the league. He went for double Spurs defence which is quite surprising given how none of us knew how Thomas Frank would impact their horrific defence from last year. Gabriel completing a double up on Arsenal defence and Guehi another great pick.

The midfield is where it gets interesting, he has Stach from Leeds, Salah, Rice and Caicedo. (Stach, Rice and Caicedo) 3 defensive midfielders in the number 1 FPL team who would have thought.

Caicedo and Rice are actually great consistent picks as Caicedo always manages to hit Defcon and Rice is on corners for Arsenal. The FPL King Mo Salah no surprise there.

He has Joao Pedro and somehow triple captained him for his 15 point haul, luck or a time traveler who knows? Haaland captain as well and guess what, he captained Erling in all matches except for his one blank in Gameweek 2 for Joao Pedro.

In FPL the golden rule was to target the newly promoted side for captaincy and their fixtures. However this year Leeds, Sunderland and Burnley all look like they have a chance of staying up in the Premier League. One team that has emerged to target is West Ham, the team the Number 1 player in FPL targeted for his triple captaincy chip.

West Ham are sat 19th in the league with just 3 points and have conceded 13 goals in their first five Premier League matches, which is the worst record in the league. This averages out to 2.6 goals conceded per match. Their xGC of 7.8 indicates that opponents aren’t just getting lucky, West Ham is consistently giving up high quality scoring chances.

The Hammers have been a disaster from set pieces, having conceded six goals from corners alone. If you have an FPL asset who is good in the air or takes corners, they are an even stronger option. It seems like Graham Potter is on the chopping block and could be gone after the Arsenal and Everton fixtures according to reports.

Loading up on Arsenal assets on a wildcard is the play right now, Saka and Gyökeres also emerge as great captaincy options for West Ham at home in Gameweek 7.

Palmer’s Groin: Why The FPL Asset Has Turned Into a Red Flag

The latest news on Cole Palmer is a major concern for FPL managers. After missing a few games earlier this season due to a persistent groin issue, he was forced off after just 20 minutes in the match against Manchester United.

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has confirmed that Palmer was not 100% fit and had tried to play through the pain.
