Gauntlet Mode Bug? Kudus Rewards Are Everywhere in FC 26

EA Sports seem to be prioritising new live events this year, and perhaps the most intriguing new addition is Gauntlet Mode. Designed to reward players who maintain a deep and varied club, the Gauntlet presents a unique squad building challenge that goes far beyond simply fielding your best eleven.

Gauntlets are a new type of Live Event within Football Ultimate Team, focusing on challenging a player’s club depth and squad management skills across a series of consecutive matches. The central mechanic that defines the mode is its demanding squad requirements.

The key rule is simple you must use a completely different squad for every match in the Gauntlet, including your entire substitute bench so keep bronze and silver players as your subs. Once a starter or sub is used in a round, they cannot be used again in any subsequent rounds of that specific Gauntlet event. This format means relying on a single squad is impossible. Success will depend on your ability to construct multiple viable teams from the players in your club.

Unlike classic knockout Tournaments, which are also returning to FUT, the Gauntlet is not an elimination based mode. You are guaranteed to play through the full Gauntlet regardless of your results. If you lose the first match, you can still play the second and third rounds with new squads. While you complete the full sequence, your rewards are directly tied to your performance. The more matches you win, the better the final rewards you will receive. This creates an incentive to perform in every round.

However there seems to be a bug with the objective tracker as some players are getting Kudus without winning all 3 matches as this user shared on twitter, he won 2 matches and lost his 3rd yet still received the Kudus cornerstone reward.

There were even reports of people who won all 3 matches not receiving their reward. Hopefully EA rolls out a patch and fixes this bug as soon as they can as the tournament only lasts till Friday.

Gauntlet Mode is a smart, community inspired addition to FC 26 that directly addresses the long standing issue of club depth stagnation in Ultimate Team. One more important area it has addressed is Freshness and a casual game mode. Players are finding Rivals and tournaments too difficult to play right now, Rush is also filled with its own issues. This game mode gives players non overpowered opponents and a chance to try and test players they otherwise would not have in other modes.
