New FC 26 Glitch Swaps Griddy for Rock On in Preseason Rewards

FC 26

As EA Sports FC 26 rolls out its preseason rewards, a frustrating issue has emerged that’s left many players frustrated. While some fortunate players are hitting the Griddy after scoring goals, others are finding themselves stuck with alternative celebrations like the Rock On, despite completing the same requirements you can read more about the requirements here. Looks like after everything EA is rolling out nowadays has some sort of bug attached to it.

EA Sports made a controverial decision during FC 25’s latter stages by introducing the Griddy to Glory objective a limited time challenge that promised players the iconic Griddy celebration as an exclusive reward for FC 26. The requirements seemed straightforward, complete five daily objectives by either winning three matches or playing six matches each day during a specific window in August 2025. Players who completed the challenge would not only unlock the viral dance move but also receive a 99 rated Ronaldinho Icon card.

However, as FC 26 launched and players logged in to claim their hard earned rewards yesterday, a troubling pattern emerged. Numerous players who completed the Griddy to Glory objective are reporting that while they the preseason packs, the Griddy celebration itself is nowhere to be found in their FC 26 accounts.

The EA Forums have become flooded with complaints from frustrated players. One user documented their experience, after completing the objective, they found that the Griddy celebration simply didn’t transfer to FC 26. Instead of the iconic dance, some players are receiving entirely different celebrations, with the Rock On celebration appearing as an unexpected substitute while others are not even getting any celebration.

The issue appears to be a content transfer problem between FC 25 and FC 26. While the pack rewards are syncing properly across EA accounts, the celebration item itself seems to be experiencing inconsistent delivery. This has led to frustration where players who completed identical objectives are receiving different rewards. The celebration should appear in the Stadium section of Ultimate Team, where players can equip it as their default celebration. For affected players, however, that item simply isn’t appearing in their inventory and for some the Rock On celebration is appearing instead.

This issue highlights a broader challenge with cross game reward systems. As EA Sports attempts to create continuity and incentives across annual releases, the technical infrastructure needs to reliably deliver on those promises. When exclusive rewards are dangled as motivation for grinding objectives, players expect those systems to work flawlessly rather than having to wait one month after the games release and not even receive the correct rewards.

EA have not yet addressed this issue but with many players complaining on the Forums, expect a solution soon. Hopefully EA also starts doing more quality checks as this is not the first time this has happened either, for the first gauntlet many players were not receiving Cornerstones Kudus despite winning all 3 rounds whereas some players who won 2/3 got the reward instead.
