Vinicius Jr Sparks Memefest After Embarrassing Moment vs Conor Bradley

Champions League, Conor Bradley, Liverpool, Real Madrid, Vinicius Junior

Vinicius has never been the most popular player on social media. Although he has his fair share of Madristas who support him, he always faces a barrage of abuse and criticism from his own fans, Mbappe’s fans, Barcelona fans, and any neutral who hates his antics and petulance on the field.

Despite being an extremely talented player who always delivers when it matters in big games, Vinicius is also infamous for his flare-ups and temper tantrums.

He is always outspoken when things don’t go his way, bringing a lot of unwanted attention to himself.

This is also why it doesn’t take long for his questionable moments to go viral.

This week’s Champions League game gave his detractors the perfect opportunity to ridicule him as his facial expressions after a tackle from Conor Bradley went viral.

The incident occurred in the 40th minute when Vinicius was dribbling into the penalty box, and as Bradley tackled him, his hand accidentally grazed Vinicius, who then flung himself to the ground in a theatrical manner. The ref rightfully didn’t give a penalty, to the dismay of Vinicius, who had a poor showing against Liverpool.

Football Twitter was relentless in trolling Vinicius as creativity was on full display after Vinicius’ theatrical dive.

Going up against Bradley, Vinicius had a poor showing, losing possession 19 times against him while having 0 g/a and 0 shots. Bradley won 100% of his tackles against Vinicius while also winning 8 duels.

Bradley’s impressive performance helped Liverpool get a 1-0 win against Real Madrid in the Champions League. Mac Allister got the decisive goal, heading home the winner from a Szoboszlai.

The win can be the springboard Liverpool needs to finally get their league season back on track after letting Arsenal get a 7-point lead after 10 games.

This match also marked Trent’s first return to Anfield since his controversial move to Real Madrid in the summer.

Ahead of the match, Trent paid a heartfelt tribute to his fallen friend and former teammate Diogo Jota. Leading up to the match, Trent had his mural defaced by fans who were still upset by his exit, although it was cleaned pretty quickly.

Trent came on as a sub in the 81st minute and got heavy boos from the Anfield faithful as he struggled to make any substantial difference.

His replacement on and off the pitch, Conor Bradley, felt the full force of Anfield’s adoration, whereas Trent, the former local boy who left Liverpool behind, was given a hostile reminder of his fall from grace.
