Puma Channels 2017 Energy With Fresh Tottenham Dig on TikTok

Puma, Tottenham Hotspur

Even though Tottenham put the ghosts of the past to rest with the Europa League trophy in 2025, they continue to be the laughing stock of the league.

After removing Ange Postecoglou, Spurs hired a modern manager in the form of Thomas Frank, who had previously impressed at Brentford.

But the Lilywhites continue to struggle in the 25/26 season, hovering around the lower half of the table, only moving from 14th to 11th this weekend after a narrow 1-0 win against Crystal Palace.

Things got worse when they were spotted being trolled by Puma for their dismal performances.

This is not the first time the sports apparel brand was seen mocking Tottenham.

In May 2017, Arsenal beat Chelsea 2-1 at Wembley to secure their record 13th FA Cup. What made matters worse for their rivals was the fact that Arsenal won it at Tottenham’s temporary home ground as White Hart Lane was being torn down, so Spurs had to shift to Wembley temporarily.

Puma, Arsenal’s kit manufacturer during those years, took a cheeky dig at Spurs through their official Twitter account, reminding everyone that Arsenal won it at Tottenham’s new ground.

Interestingly, Puma used to be the kit manufacturer for Spurs between 2006 and 2012. Even currently, multiple Spurs players, including James Maddison and Xavi Simons, are sponsored by Puma. But that hasn’t stopped the brand’s social media admins from trolling Spurs.

This time around, it was the TikTok admin of Puma UK who was seen trolling Spurs under a TikTok of a kid receiving a 25/26 Spurs away kit as a Christmas present.

The kid wasn’t particularly pleased to receive the gift.

Under the TikTok, the Puma UK admin commented, “Reaction is very valid 😭”, upsetting Tottenham fans.

One of the fans came back at the admin, stating that they’re rattled because Spurs refused Puma as their kit sponsor.

The quick-witted admin had a hilarious response to that as they stated, “14th in the league? We’re good bro 😂” with an iShowSpeed gif.

Football Twitter had a field day, with Arsenal fans in particular loving the fact that their bitter rivals are getting trolled yet again.

@TrustAmorim_: Spurs might acc be the most clownable team in all of history

@__ntwari____: Spurs is so shameless . How do you not understand that every deal, every player you get is only because nobody wants them giving them no other option

@auravalens7: it’s the hisstory of da totenham

@s68845192_s: Puma 3-0 Spursy I love this Puma

@up0nloss: Almost as bad as the time we announced a new sponsor and they took the piss out of us maybe an hour later

@Favochino23: But seriously, that kid must have been traumatized and felt unloved after receiving that has his Christmas gift

Meanwhile, Spurs fans were busy trying to come up with ways to cope with the latest bout of embarrassment that the North London club has had to suffer.

@CornerGordo: Little weird considering Xavi is one of their athletes right?

@Allthings__THFC: If you want easy likes, hate on us. Looks like all the brands, journalists, and commentators have realised it and are certainly making the most of it.

@itsErickNotEric: I swear everyone on TikTok has the same humor

@borha_ash: As long it’s not Manchester United it’s all good bro
