Argentina Players Surrounded Messi in Training After He Used His Left Foot in a Weak Foot Drill

With this possibly being Lionel Messi’s final World Cup, the current International Break has become extremely important for Argentine fans.

Lionel Messi and Co. are currently stationed in the Albiceleste Training Camp in Ezeiza, Buenos Aires. The team was originally supposed to face off against Spain in Finalissima, but the Middle East crisis canceled those plans. Now Argentina will be facing Mauritania this Friday and Zambia later, in what could be one of Messi’s final national team starts on Argentine soil.

However, the chances of Messi starting against Mauritania are rather slim. During his latest press conference, coach Lionel Scaloni revealed that he still hasn’t decided on Messi’s place.

While Messi’s status will be known soon, the star was recently caught on camera in a strange training moment with his compatriots.

Messi is the captain of the nation and what he says goes. One would imagine he enjoys an air of superiority no other Argentina player can even think of. But even the GOAT gets teased for making silly mistakes.

In a training video one can see Messi, Rodrigo De Paul, Leandro Paredes, and a few other players circle passing to each other.

From the video, the drill seems to be about them passing and controlling with their weaker foot. At the start, Messi uses his right foot, but inevitably, he uses his left foot to pass the ball.

That small mistake didn’t go unnoticed, as the players immediately stopped the drill and ganged up on Messi.

Slightly perturbed by the sight of these much taller players getting close to him, Messi started moving back to explain his mistake.

Who’d have guessed that Messi would one day find himself being teased for passing the ball from his legendary left foot?
