Fans Just Discovered Erling Haaland’s Lookalike Sister At The World Cup

Erling Haaland’s star continues to rise at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The Norwegian striker scored a late winner against Cote d’Ivoire in Dallas to secure a meeting with Brazil in the Round of 16. The cherry on top for Haaland was the presence of family at the venue to celebrate the momentous occasion.

Erling’s father Alf-Inge Haaland was seated in the VIP section and the cameras frequently cut to him during the game. When the 25-year-old tapped in the decisive goal in the 86th minute, he appeared overwhelmed by emotions. However, it was Alfe-Inge’s daughter that stole the headlines on this occasion.

After the full-time whistle, Erling was seen making his way to the stands to embrace his elder sister Gabrielle. She was accompanied by their mother Gry Marita Braut and brother Astor. All three were dressed in the Norwegian home kit and carrying the national flag for good measure.

What took fans by surprise was the sheer likeliness Gabrielle shares with her superstar brother. Not only does Gabrielle have a tall stocky frame that seems to be a trademark of the Haaland family, her facial features leave no doubts she shares a blood relationship with Erling.

“The resemblance is too glaring just like twin”, a fan commented on X.

“No need for DNA, the resemblance is 100%”, another wrote echoing those sentiments.

One fan tried to be cheeky by asking, “Haaland is the white jersey correct?”

Gabrielle is two and a half years older than Erling and plies her trade as a nurse in Norway. The 27-year-old is married to former footballer Jan Gunnar Eide and has two children with him. Gabrielle herself is somewhat of a social media star, boasting over 120K followers on Instagram.

Erling shares a close relationship with Gabrielle, as revealed by some posts on her account. She regularly appears at Haaland’s games and is often seen cheering from the stands for the beasty striker.

Safe to say, being around family has borne great results for Erling in his debut World Cup campaign. His tally of five goals is just one less than leaders Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe, despite having been rested for Norway’s final group stage game against France.

The 6’5” giant courted some criticism for not being involved much in the general gameplay against Cote d’Ivoire, albeit the goal ended all doubts over his contribution to the team. Erling would no doubt be hopeful of having a similar impact in New Jersey on July 6 against the Selecao.
