The Cola Brand Going Viral Due To Bradley Barcola Transfer Saga

Arsenal, Bradley Barcola, Liverpool, Transfer Talk

After a turbulent 2025/26 season, Liverpool are now looking forward to a new chapter under Andoni Iraola. Despite managing to qualify for the UEFA Champions League by finishing fifth, they struggled for consistency all season long, and the club’s top brass has their work cut out for them in the summer transfer window.

After Luis Diaz left for Bayern Munich last summer, many fans and experts alike were of the opinion that the Reds missed a trick by not signing an adequate replacement, and adding quality depth on the wings is now the need of the hour.

Victor Munoz has already been signed from Osasuna after an impressive showing in La Liga last year, and another exciting wide player, Bradley Barcola, has also been extensively linked with a move to Anfield of late.

Still only 23, Barcola is considered one of the best young attacking players in world football, boasting the kind of pace and dribbling ability that is enough to give any defender nightmares.

Despite being quite young, he also has heaps of big-game experience, having won back-to-back UEFA Champions League titles with PSG and also featured at the 2026 FIFA World Cup for France.

Naturally, the prospect of Barcola bringing his talents to Merseyside has got Liverpool fans quite excited. In a bizarrely comical turn of events, this has led to a cola brand going viral amongst fans.

“Barr Cola,” a budget-friendly alternative to more famous brands such as Coca Cola and Pepsi, has been gaining traction on social media of late, for the obvious fact that it shares a similar name to Liverpool’s high-profile transfer target. The drink is created by Scottish beverage company A.G. Barr, which is most popularly known for the “Irn-Bru” line of drinks.

Fans have been referencing the drink to share plenty of jokes and puns.

The Barr-Cola movement had a different narrative with rumors of Amazon founder Jeffo Bezos apparently looking to invest in Reds with a minority stake in the club.

Arsenal fans also joined the trend after they found out the Gunners were looking to hijack Barcola deal as Arteta wants to add a left winger to his 26/27 squad.

One Arsenal fan made a whole skit out of it outside Emirates Stadium.

Though fans have been quick to run with rumors surrounding Barcola, the Frenchman’s move to England is still far from a done deal. While it has been rumoured that PSG are open to selling him and the player himself is keen on a new challenge, a significant gap still exists in terms of both clubs’ valuation on the star.

The Ligue 1 champions are reportedly demanding a fee in the range of £145 million and £150 million (€160m–€170m), most of which is guaranteed up-front. Liverpool, on the other hand, value the winger at around £100 million (~€115m), and their proposal also includes plenty of performance related add-ons.

As a result, there is still plenty of business to be taken care of before the aforementioned memes become a reality.
