Arsenal TikToker Who Disrespected JJ Gabriel Has A Notorious Past

The content creator epidemic continues to affect football with its latest victim being Manchester United’s wonderkid JJ Gabriel. The teenager recently came under fire from a Tiktoker who has made a habit of insulting professional players.

The incident in question occurred during the Topps Flagship Premier League 26/27 launch at Fanatics’ flagship store in London. The event featured a host of football creators and fans, with Gabriel as the chief guest.

The 15-year-old was named U18 Premier League Player of the Year last season for scoring 23 goals. Gabriel’s performances earned him a seat on Manchester United’s pre-season tour, where he made his unofficial club debut against Atletico Madrid in Stockholm.

With his newfound fame, Gabriel was naturally popular amongst the fans. He modestly clicked pictures and signed autographs at the Topps event whenever approached.

Among those swarming him was a Tiktoker who goes by the name of Yakz. He asked Gabriel for a selfie who duly obliged by flashing a huge smile.

However, out of nowhere, Yakz patted Gabriel on the back while telling him that Max Dowman is better than him.

The Tiktoker was referring to the Arsenal sensation who last season became the youngest ever goalscorer in the Premier League at 16 years of age. Born on 2010 New Year’s eve, Dowman is just a few months older than Gabriel.

Gabriel was evidently distraught as soon as he heard the comment. His face completely dropped and the flashing teeth immediately receded.

The creator then even had the audacity to request a fist bump after the blatant disrespect.

To Gabriel’s credit, he still calmly accepted the fist bump. But he did not even look Yakz in the eye as he turned away and quietly left.

As it turns out, this was not the first time Yakz had gone viral for distasteful content.

Despite being a relatively small creator with less than 6,000 followers, the Tiktoker keeps regularly bumping into professional footballers.

Yakz seems to spend his time trawling around stadiums and popular spots in the city that players frequent in hope of such chance encounters.

In fact, he was even kicked out of a pop-up event in the past hosted by popular London streetwear brand No Sauce.

Yakz was live streaming from the venue and making clips when he was approached by security at the site. The creator tried to timidly explain why he was there before it was curtly made clear to him that it was a friends and family event only.

Similarly, he once managed to get a hold of Noni Madueke signing stuff for fans on the streets during one of his public appearances. Yakz unabashedly asked the Arsenal winger to diss his former club Chelsea in a brazen voice.

Madueke instantly gave him a bombastic side eye to make his feelings clear. However, it did not stop Yakz from seemingly deliberately misrepresenting the situation.

He loudly announced the gesture was a disrespect for the Blues. Fortunately for everyone around, Madueke gave him little attention and simply walked away from the scene.

Yakz’ regular content largely revolves around making humorous content about the beautiful game. He is amongst a growing number of football personalities and is a vocal Gooner.

Yakz seems to be based in the United Kingdom. However, there is no public information of his whereabouts or even his legal name.

By the looks of it, the curly haired African-Britisher seems to be a young adult no older than 25. Of late, he has gained a foothold in the football community for his provocative content, but remains a largely niche creator still.

Hopefully, the pattern of causing nuisance will keep football organizers from involving Yakz in the future. Yet, it barely seems like a guarantee given the direction in which the game’s content creation is heading.
