Ayden Heaven Height Revealed — Fans Shocked by Size Difference With Other Players

Given the failure of the 2024/2025 season for Manchester United, the team has set its sights on bringing in young players to create a squad that has the strength to compete today and in the future. In this current year, 2025, the team has already brought in Leny Yoro, Matheus Cunha, Patrick Dorgu, and Bryan Mbeumo. However, there is another player who has also recently joined the team: English center back Ayden Heaven, who previously played for rivals Arsenal FC and who has only played one game for the Gunners in the EFL Cup.

Ayden Heaven, born on September 22, 2006 in Islington, England, is a central defender who, at the beginning of the year, was transferred to Manchester United for an unknown amount, but his contract is known to have a duration of 4 and a half years with the option of an extra year if both parties wish.

The English defender began his career at West Ham United’s academy at the age of 8 in 2015 and then moved to Arsenal FC’s academy in 2019. He remained there until 2025, when, as mentioned above, he joined the Red Devils.

Because of Lisandro Martinez’s injury, Heaven recently played against Fiorentina in Italy, and in this match, he demonstrated tremendous solidity as a center back and is already considered one of Manchester United’s best young prospects. In that match, Heaven completed 100% of his long passes, 100% of his aerial duels, won 100% of his ground duels, recovered the ball four times, and had a 98% pass accuracy. Excellent numbers for a young defender.

It’s no wonder he’s won every aerial duel, as one of Ayden Heaven’s most distinctive features is that he’s very tall. The English defender is at least 1.89m, or 6 ft 2 inches, making him one of the tallest players in the Manchester United squad. There were many English football fans who didn’t give much thought to this until they saw several photos where Ayden Heaven appears and stands out from the crowd due to his height.

One of these photos is from his time at Arsenal, where he appears with Jack Wilshere and Per Mertesacker. Wilshere is 1.72 m tall, so it’s obvious he’ll look shorter, but what’s surprising is that Heaven looks almost the same height as Mertesacker, who is 1.98 m tall.

On another occasion, legendary English defender Rio Ferdinand commented that one day he saw Heaven and realized that he is massive, even taller than him, and for a moment he thought he was wearing heels.

In another photo, he appears with Patrick Dorgu, who also recently joined Manchester United. In the photo, they both appear, and it seems as though Dorgu is very short, and he’s 1.85m tall, so there isn’t much of a difference.

And then there’s another photo of him with the United squad, and there are few people who are as tall as him.

The only ones who have a similar height are Harry Maguire who is 1.94m, Altay Bayindir who is 1.98m and Chido Obi who is 1.88m.

Regardless of height, Heaven had a very good start at Old Trafford last season and here is hoping he can continue in that direction.
