This week the theme for the FPL challenge is ‘The Promoted.’ Players from promoted clubs (Leeds, Burnley and Sunderland) will earn double points. We will have 6 players to choose from an unlimited budget and we can only choose one player from each club.
Before we start, here is how my team fared last week in the Instant Impact theme.

Only the midfield delivered with brilliant debut performances from Reijnders and Kudus. It was heartbreak as Frimpong was subbed off seconds before the 60 minute mark and had it been a few seconds later it would have been a 10 point increase with him earning a 12 pointer. Diouf had his shot blocked by a defender which could have seen a 12 point swing. Brentford and Kelleher were no match for Forest. Joao Pedro after a brilliant pre season came away with a very underwhelming debut.
This week with two of the promoted clubs playing each other and Leeds playing at the Emirates, it is unlikely I will be going for as many bonus points as compared to last week. The Fantasy team should have picked a better week for this theme in my opinion. Here is my team for this week’s challenge –

Keepers: I have gone for Sanchez in goal, West Ham looked awful against Sunderland and I feel like they will struggle against Chelsea as well. For the promoted sides you could go for someone like Dubravka or Roefs as it could end up being a low scoring game, Burnley did keep 30 clean sheets in the championship last season.
Defenders: For that reason I am going for Esteve due to the clean sheet potential and his Defcon points as well. You could also look to get Kyle Walker for his attacking threat or Reinildo from Sunderland. Arsenal defensive assets are also an option if you don’t want to go for Saka.
Midfielders: I am hedging my bets by taking Adingra, we saw how explosive he was under Brighton, a 6 pointer last week and i am hoping he can replicate the same this week. Same for Semenyo, Wolves look weak defensively and with a home fixture it seems like a safe option. Saka is my captain, I am hoping for a goal fest after an underwhelming performance against Manchester United. Cole Palmer against West Ham, Morgan Rogers against Brentford and Marcus Edwards for the bonus are all good options as well.
Forwards: I have gone for only one forward and I am betting on the Norwegian goal scoring machine Erling Haaland. City against Spurs has always been a goal fest, both are very attacking sides. Ollie Watkins against Brentford should be a solid choice as well. Wishing all fellow challengers a good gameweek ahead.
