It has only been a few months since Estevao made his Chelsea debut, and he has already had a rather eventful time at his new club.
The player made a dynamic start to his Chelsea career, scoring goals, delivering assists, creating chances with his wingplay, and getting the crowd excited with his wonderful trickery.

Whether on the pitch or off it, he has been in the news constantly. From struggling to adjust to the London winter to getting time off on Brazil international duty to get his driver’s license and getting an impromptu celebration from Ancelotti for it, his life is nothing if not happening.
Another reason he has been in the news is this constant speculation about whether Estevao Willian is related to the former Chelsea superstar Willian or not.

The Estevao-Willian confusion started as both of them had “Willian” in their names.
If their sharing the same names wasn’t enough, the two of them also have very similar facial features. People have been claiming that Estevao resembles Willian in terms of his smile, strong cheekbones, and even his curly hair.

The reality is, no, Estevao Willian and Willian Borges are NOT related.
Despite sharing the same name, hailing from the same state in Brazil, and being agile, exciting wingers with similar traits to end up at Chelsea, Estevao and Willian come from two separate families.
Estevao was born Franca, a northwestern city in the state Sao Paulo. He began his football journey with the youth academy of Cruzeiro (in 2017) and later moved to Palmeiras in 2021.

His family has been with him every step of the way. When he got signed to Cruzeiro aged 10, his mother, sister, and father all packed up their things and moved 280 miles from Franca to Belo Horizonte.
Estevao’s father, Willian Almeida de Oliveira Gonçalves, is actually a church pastor. He has been by Estevao’s side throughout his meteoric rise, taking him to training sessions and watching his boy from the stands as he creates magic on the football field every week.
Willian Borges, on the other hand, was born and raised in RibeirAo Pires, in the state of Sao Paulo, Brazil. His father, Severino da Silva, sold used car parts, while his mother, Maria José Borges da Silva, used to work as a housekeeper.
