Manchester United are having a season of two halves. Currently sitting 6th in the points table, the season is a definite improvement to their finish in the last season where they finished at 15th. But things are yet to click on a consistent basis as yet another disappointing performance worries fans over continuity of the form.
On 31st of December, the night before New Year, United had one last misfortune to bury along with the year end. Wolves, who are 20th in the table without a win, managed to get a point away from home, in the theatre of dreams, OldTrafford.
Joshua Zirkzee had put the reds in the lead in the 26th minute via a free kick, scoring only his second goal of the season. But soon before the half way mark, Wolves made the maximum of their chance as Ladislav Krejci provided the equalizer in the 44th minute to end the first half at 1-1. Despite numerous attempts on target, United could not impact the scoreline any further, taking just one point in what should have been a 3-point fixture.
But much prior to the game, United had a special service for a fan, who has now sparked strong reactions from fans with the tour video of her day at Old Trafford. TikToker, Ruby Thornton had an unforgettable day in her life, when she entered the Old Trafford pitch with her sister and parents.
She had recorded a video of her experience and uploaded it on TikTok for larger reach. In the video, she goes on to explain, what she had done across the invite.
The video starts with the visual of them having dinner at the Stadium’s restaurant. Followed by it was, Bruno Fernandes’s special talk to people there, which had never happened before in her previous visits, according to her. They got to visit the pitchside, half an hour before the game and had photos captured by the photographer there.
After being taken out before the players entry, the family re-entered the pitch just before kickoff. That’s when the most insane experience she could get happened, as herself and her sister took a photo with the team during the playing XI photoshoot before the game. She then explains on how they were offered seats close to the bench players and were having a first row seat of Substitutions.

Although, the initiative is once in a lifetime experience for the fan, Questions have been raised against United’s strategy of fan interactions, as they failed to prioritize season ticket holders who rightfully deserve the initiative, according to their fans.
On top of that, promoting fan interaction, moments before kickoff, is not something appreciatable, as it is taking away the seriousness and the dignity of the protocols followed during the game. United fans themselves point out it as a bad move with the club too motivated about generating revenue compromising on the identity of the game.
