Alisha Lehmann has turned the cameras towards her with a comeback move to England. She is known as one of the “sexiest” footballers but more due to her off the field activities than on the pitch prowess.
Now back to where she rose into fame, she has brought along something even greater.
Alisha Lehmann made her move to Juventus Women team in 2024, along with her ex-partner Douglas Luiz, bringing significant buzz around as the first “couple transfer”.
But a disappointing outing for the Juventus and a desire to move to an independent women’s team, Lehmann made a transfer to FC Como, the following season.
Even there, the move did not work out better either, starting just three games for Como.
Apart from on field performances, Lehmann had her home burgled for the second time, which made her regret her move.
After spending two and a half years at Italy, playing for Juventus in 2024 and Como in 2025, the Swiss international has revived a move back to UK by signing for Leicester City. The Foxes are currently 9th in the Barclays Women’s Super League.

This was not just a revival for her career, but a greater marketing boost for Leicester City, as Lehmann brings with her fifteen million Instagram followers, which is more than Leicester City’s official Instagram handle. Even double the followers list of theirs would still be less than Alisha Lehmann’s.
This had created a stir, that she might be the most followed Leicester City player ever.
Even their own legends like Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez, combined, could not match her followers list.
None of the players from current squad of Leicester City, come close.
Stephy Mavididi is the highest among them with 385K followers, but he is way below the standard set by Lehmann.
Out of former players, Riyad Mahrez was close with 12.5 million, but N’Golo Kante, comes toe to toe to Lehmann’s numbers with the same 15.9 million followers.
But this could be in no time overtaken by her, with the arrival slowly expanding its reach. Also given her popularity among the football fans for various reasons.
Whatever said, this could be the start of something fruitful for Lehmann, after two years of turmoil at Italy.
