The Anime and football community just had a beautiful crossover. Recently a new piece of merchandise has gone viral, featuring Arsenal’s star player Eberechi Eze in an Anime artstyle.

Eberechi Eze is also on a tear this season, a key factor for Arsenal’s attack all season as the striker recently added to his goal tally with a stunner against Leverkusen in the champions League match, helping Arsenal progress to the quarter finals.

The gunner is featured In various Cartoon poses, accompanied by the funny pun in text “Dragon Ball Eze”. The Eze figure in the center is in reference to his goal celebration, which seems to have a religious meaning behind it, as Eze has kept no secret of his faithfulness to christianity.

Here is Arsenal legend Ian Wright on his Instagram story, showing off the genius shirt design, and tagging Eze’s instagram account. He also tagged the designer, @danxdraws to credit and support the creator.

Dan is a U.K artist, who supports Arsenal not just as a fan but also the locality. He has designed many tifos for the club. Recently he helped raise over £10,000 for Islington food bank with the sales from his tifo designs. His generosity shoes his art is fueled with passion to give back to the community.

He also responded to Ian Wright’s story with a playful caption – ‘unc seal of approval’..

Many gunners faithful responded in Dragon Ball references, such as Eze to go super saiyan mode this season, as he leads Arsenal towards a title charge, what would be their first since the Invincibles in 2004.

The “Dragon Ball Eze” shirt has been on sale since November 2025, but Wright’s story gathered the attention of many Gunners’ fans, who are now clamoring for this shirt.

Good news for them is that, the shirt is still available on UK based clothing brand A Store Like 94, on retail for £40 on this page. The shirt not only has a decorative design at the back, but also has a design in the front, featuring Eze in an Dragon ball art-style form. It is also available on long sleeve.

The online store also features other artwork of Eze in a dragon ball form.

Eze himself has yet to respond to it, as the striker rarely has an appearance on social media. But Ian Wright’s post has immensely helped the exposure of the shirt, which is going to help out local artists like danxdraws. A great token of appreciation of Ian Wright, who is well known for his generosity amongst not only Arsenal F.C and North london, but to other aspects such as women’s football too.

This also shows how much fans have taken a liking to Eberechi Eze, an Arsenal fan from childhood, he has reached the popularity with the likes of Bukayo Saka at the club, in a “one of us”-esque love.
