The star, who regularly gives updates of his personal life on social media, decided to pay a small tribute to his father. Little did Mac Allister know that it would go so viral within the Liverpool club. Who’d have thought that a haircut could have such an impact?
That’s right, Alexis Mac Allister has said goodbye to his signature wavy hair. The Liverpool star revealed his new severe buzz cut look on Instagram.
Apparently, it is a tribute to his father, Carlos Mac Allister, as the Argentine tagged him with a caption “De tal palo tal astilla,” which translates to “Like father like son.” However, while this was supposed to be a tribute, it also gave Mac Allister’s Liverpool teammates a perfect chance to tease the star.
Hugo Ekitike couldn’t believe his eyes and commented “wtf” with multiple laughing emojis. Multiple Liverpool players echoed this reaction.
Dominik Szoboszlai also made fun of Mac Allister’s new hairstyle with many laughing emojis.
However, the reactions weren’t just limited to teasing; many players also loved this change in look.

For instance, Curtis Jones commented “Nice Lad” and Ibrahima Konate sent a love heart emoji. Even former teammate Luis Diaz joined in on the fun by sending a heart and laughter emoji to Mac Allister. Even the fans decided to tease the star with many welcoming Mac Allister to the “bald club.”
Certainly, Alexis Mac Allister has given the Liverpool fans a much-needed break from constant dread. The timing might just be immaculate, as the team needs good vibes to push for a Champions League spot right in the final stretch of this season. As for now, Alexis Mac Allister has joined the Argentina side in Albiceleste training camp in Ezeiza, Buenos Aires. The team was supposed to have a Finalissima against Spain, but that got cancelled due to the political turmoil in the Middle East.
Now the team will stay home to face Mauritania and Zambia. This could be a great break for Mac Allister from his disappointing Liverpool run and could give him a chance to rediscover his form in a different environment. He must because Liverpool will have back-to-back matches against Manchester City (April 4 – FA Cup Quarter Final) and PSG (April 9 – Champions League Quarter Finals). That’s certainly a tough but important run of games that could turn the season around for Liverpool.
