Italian tennis outlet Ubitennis also drew a comparison to Jannik Sinner, another elite tennis player and longtime Milan supporter who has made similar appearances at San Siro in the past, suggesting Sabalenka’s outing wasn’t an entirely isolated case of a tennis star crossing over into football fandom, but part of a small, recognizable pattern among the sport’s biggest names.

On the pitch, Milan made the occasion a memorable one. Christian Pulisic opened the scoring in the 14th minute, controlling a long ball from Strahinja Pavlović before finishing with his left foot, setting the tone early for what would become a comfortable night for the home side.
