Tottenham Hotspur are looking to bounce back from their disastrous start to the season, and have registered back-to-back wins in the Premier League with victories over Coventry City and Chelsea.
During the summer transfer window, the Lilywhites backed manager Roberto De Zerbi by making huge investments in the squad, and it seems the plan might work as they keep climbing up the ladder in the Premier League.
To revamp the attack, Spurs spent big to sign Savio from Manchester City, while Omar Marmoush and Mykhaylo Mudryk were signed on season-long loan deals from the Cityzens and Chelsea, respectively.
There are still some gaps in the attack, as despite their recent rise in the league table, the club have only scored eight goals in eight matches, and it has been suggested that they are desperate to bring in a new number 9 in the upcoming winter transfer window.
Dominik Solanke has not been able to lead the front line this term, while last season’s top scorer for the club, Richarlison, has been excluded from the team by De Zerbi, and will most likely be sold this January.
According to Caught Offside, Tottenham Hotspur are keeping tabs on Portuguese winger Carlos Forbs, who currently plays for Belgian giants Club Brugge.
However, Spurs are not the only side keen on his signature, as Manchester United as well as AS Roma are in the mix, with the Italian side having sent scouts to Belgium to gather more information on Forbs.
Carlos Forbs was part of the Sporting Lisbon and Manchester City youth systems, and then he was snapped up by Dutch giants Ajax in the summer of 2023, and then in 2025 Club Brugge signed him on a four-year deal.
At Club Brugge, Forbs has become one of the most sought-after wingers for top European clubs, and since he arrived at the club, he has made 63 appearances in all competitions, scoring 14 goals, while also providing 20 assists in the process.
This campaign, the 22-year-old has made 12 appearances across all competitions and registered 12 goal involvements, becoming one of the key members of the squad under manager Ivan Leko.
Forbs is a left-footed versatile player who can be deployed as a right-winger, left-winger, and at times as an attacking midfielder to add more options in the front line.
But Forbs is not the only Club Brugge player on Spurs’ radar, as the club is also interested in signing striker Nicolo Tresoldi, as their main priority in the winter transfer window remains to bring a new hitman to N17 to add more firepower to the attack.
Carlos Forbs primarily plays as a right-winger, and currently at N17 that position is shared by Mohammed Kudus and big summer signing Savio, while Swedish international Dejan Kulusevski has also made his return after a long time on the sidelines due to an injury.
It remains to be seen whether Tottenham Hotspur will turn their interest into a contract offer in the winter transfer window, as signing a new winger in January may not be at the top of their agenda.
