The colour scheme is not just a reference to the Air Jordan VII “Bordeaux”, debuted by Michael Jordan in the 1992 NBA All-Star Game, but it also serves to the nostalgia of PSG’s Louis Vuitton inspired away kit for 2005/06, and brings back memories of one of the most memorable kits of the recent past.

The newly released third kit carries forward the ongoing trend of Nike’s third kits for this season being inspired by vintage Air Max sneakers, and a collection of sneakers painted in the aforementioned colours are to be released by Nike along with the kit.
