Lionel Messi turned super sub on Saturday as Barcelona decimated 10-man Real Betis 5-2 at the Camp Nou.
It was rare appearance on the bench for Lionel Messi but not for long as the legend came on as a second half substitute following an injury to Ansu Fati.
With fans not allowed inside the stadium, many seemingly hang out outside of the arena to catch a glimpse of their favorite footballers.
A few lucky ones managed to get hold of Messi in his car as the Argentine was making his way back home after the game last night.
With praise coming right, left and center after a heroic performance on the night, one fan might have gone too bold with his compliments for Messi as he said – “Te quiero más que a mi padre”.
When translated in English, the aforementioned reads – “I love you more than my father”.
Even Messi couldn’t help but notice the silliness as the Barcelona legend let a slight chuckle upon hearing the comment, check out his reaction below –
