‘Class is permanent’: Netizens enjoy Cesc Fabregas masterclass against PSG

Paris Saint-Germain’s winning run was brought to a screeching halt as Cesc Fabregas masterminded a second-half comeback for Monaco.

It was a less than auspicious start for Monaco, who were 2-0 down at half-time to a PSG side who also had two goals disallowed.

What hurt even more for the home side was the fact that both the goals were scored by former player Kylian Mbappe, who celebrated the second by kissing the PSG badge.

Monaco were without their main man at the front in Wissam Ben Yedder and things looked bleak at the Stade Louis II.

Niko Kovac needed to do something drastic and brought Cesc Fabregas at the interval.

As they say, rest is history.

The former Arsenal, Chelsea and Barcelona star ran the show and completely changed the game as he assisted Kevin Volland’s second goal and then scored the winning penalty to give his side a 3-2 victory.

Fair to say netizens loved the display from the 33-year-old as Monaco went to the second spot in the points table –

People who switched off their television at half time were left to rue their decision –

PSG fans were clearly hurt –

The loss has come at a very bad time for Thomas Tuchel’s side, who now face a daunting task against Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig in the Champions League on Tuesday.
