Sheffield Wednesday player grabbed by the balls by opponent, twice

Darnell Fisher has a lot to answer after the Preston North End defender was seen grabbing a feel of Sheffield United midfielder Callum Paterson’s private area earlier today.

The moment occurred during a Sheffield Wednesday corner as Fisher was given the responsibility to mark Paterson in the box.

The PNE right-back could be seen touching Paterson’s nether regions twice in a matter of seconds.

It doesn’t make it right, but crotch-grabbing is known to be a strategy used in amateur football (Sunday League) to distract your opponent and break their concentration.

Sheffield Wednesday had to play the majority of the game with 10 men on the field as Josh Windass was shown a straight red 17 minutes from kick-off.

A Tom Barkhuizen goal in the second half made sure Preston North End took all 3 points home.
