The Everton goalkeeper enjoyed a stellar Euro 2020 campaign with the England national team. A campaign that saw England reach the finals of the tournament and lose to Italy on penalties.
Although England lost, the game at Wembley went down to the wire because of Pickford’s heroics as he saved two Italian penalties in the shootout before being let down by his own teammates.
As much heartbreak as it was for the 27-year-old, it’s clear that he hasn’t let the defeat get to him.
A shirtless Pickford was seen wildly celebrating during his homecoming party as he sat on top of one of his friend’s shoulders and belted out Cher’s ‘Believe’ along with his wife Megan Davison, who was seen wearing a mask bearing his face.
