Anthony Martial debut new skinhead look in Manchester United training

Anthony Martial has drawn comparisons with Wayne Rooney with his new bald look that he debuted this pre-season.

The Manchester United forward has bid farewell to his hair for his new-look leading up to the upcoming season, and the skinhead look has had the Manchester United faithful reminiscing about a certain Wayne Rooney – the legendary United forward who first brought the look in fashion with his incredible exploits for the club for well over a decade.

Martial was spotted with his new look in his teammate Bruno Fernandes’ Instagram story from Manchester United’s pre-season camp while posing alongside his teammates in a winning team picture from training.

The forward attracted a lot of attention from United fans online who were quick to notice Martial’s new look on display, as the picture went viral on social media platforms.

While a fan suggested that Martial really embraced the Thierry Henry comparisons with his new look, more fans said it was Martial channelling his inner Wayne Rooney instead.

Skinhead Rooney was famous for his goalscoring numbers that helped Manchester United win a plethora of trophies in his prime, but there is another incident that comes to mind whenever his skinhead look is on the discussion.

United fans would certainly hope that the new-look Martial brings the same amount of conviction that Rooney had in his skinhead days, and if he does manage to replicate Rooney’s numbers too – United are in for an excellent season in the Premier League.
