Leaked: Manchester United return to roots with retro home kit for 22/23 season

German sportswear brand Adidas and Manchester United have regularly been producing some of the most striking kits we’ve seen.

And they seem to be back at it again, this latest leaked kit has the potential to be one of the season’s best, if it comes to fruition.

The leak comes to us via Footy Headlines and it showcases the potential home kit of the Red Devils for next season.

It would seem United have gone retro and the kit features a slight throwback to the home kit from Umbro that was worn during the 1992/93 and 1993/94 season.

In particular, the shirt’s collar is similarly styled but features triangular patterns, making it appear radical.

How the home kit for 22/23 season could look like

Aside from the striking collar, three black stripes can be seen running in both directions atop the sleeves.

Even the socks follow suit thematically and the triangles as seen on the collar are visible here too.

Fan reactions were increasingly positive, and Adidas’s latest efforts look to be a hit.

The collar in particular was met with quite a bit of fanfare.

According to the leak, the kit will be available for purchase in May, a noteworthy point for all admirers.
