Developments of the aforementioned events, coupled with the players’ social media activities, have fans believing that Kai Havertz has found a new best buddy in Joao Felix, and the fans are in awe of the duo.
It wasn’t long ago when Kai Havertz was struggling to put his name on the scoresheet this season. The German, as had been the case with the whole Chelsea squad this season, was going through a tough time on the pitch.
On the other hand, brand new owner Todd Boehly couldn’t hold himself from splashing the cash in both the transfer windows the American has overseen.
It’s a topic of debate if the myriad of signings has done any good to Chelsea so far this season, but there’s no denying that a few individuals have had positive impacts from the new arrivals.
Among the few individuals, fans believe Kai Havertz to be the one who’s been benefitting the most since the arrival of Joao Felix.
Felix, who has been signed up for a 6-month loan deal from Atletico Madrid, seems to have bonded well with the Chelsea number 29, both on and off the pitch.
Multiple pictures of the duo having a laugh with each other on the training pitch have surfaced online, which have the fans convinced of the bromance between the two.
Felix talking highly of Kai Havertz could be traced back to his interview where the Portugal international assured the fans about Kai scoring in The Blues’ UCL tie against Dortmund.
In the same interview with Football London, Chelsea’s latest arrival was questioned about his opinions on Kai Havertz, and Joao didn’t shy away from expressing his feelings towards the German.
Felix stated, “He (Kai Havertz) is an amazing player. Everyone knows what he has done for the club.” He further went ahead to praise the 23-year-old as he said, “He (Havertz) never stops working. He is always searching for ways to be better and to score.”
Kai recently posted a picture of himself from the Germany National Team’s training camp, and Felix couldn’t hold himself from commenting “Sunny day” on the German’s Instagram post.
Joao also added a story tagging Havertz on his Instagram account. It was a picture of the Portuguese celebrating with Havertz, with the caption, “Believe in me stupid guy”.
Felix’s recent social media activities coupled with images of him and Havertz have the fans convinced of a strong friendship developing between the two.
Some Twitter users have voiced their opinions, believing Kai’s friendship with Joao Felix to be one of the reasons for the German’s recent upgrade in his form.
This is how Twitter has been reacting to this wholesome bromance:
The way Havertz and Felix are bonding, if chelsea don't sign felix in the summer, their bromance would be a waste— CFC_Jason (@CFC_Jasonn) March 16, 2023
Fans have all the rights to be overjoyed seeing Kai Havertz return back to form. Kudos to Joao Felix if his apparent close friendship with the German has got something to do with it.
However, with both Havertz and Felix belonging to the same player profile, and with Nkunku’s arrival at the start of the next season, it remains to be seen what the future holds for the three players.
