Listen to the New Chant For Son Heung-min Inspired By Grunge Masterpiece Zombie

Son Heung-min has seamlessly adapted to life as Tottenham Hotspur captain under Ange Postecoglou. Since taking over the armband after Harry Kane’s departure, the South Korean forward has only gotten better.

He’s played a huge role in ensuring that Spurs go into the October international break on top of the Premier League table. The Lilywhites are one of the two sides still unbeaten in the division and are roaring under Postecoglou.

Son is personally leading from the front, having scored six goals in eight league games already. He’s already a contender for the Golden Boot trophy and is excelling as a no.9. Spurs fans can’t get enough of their new skipper and how keeps winning points for them time and again.

Amid this, some fans appear to have created a brand new chant for the South Korean international. The chant isn’t exactly that long or anything, with fans keeping it really short. It goes something like this:

HE’S IN MY HEAD,
IN MY HEAD SONNY,
SONNY SONNY-NY-NY

For those unknowing, this is heavily inspired by The Cranberries’ cult hit ‘Zombie’. The song is one of the most popular ones created by the band and one of the best of the 1990s too. Spurs fans’ chant is directly inspired by the chorus of the song, which goes like:

In your head, in your head
Zombie, zombie, zombie-ie-ie

This song is actually extremely popular in the Irish rugby scene right now, with fans singing it during games. That might have inspired this unique chant as well, which already seems to be really popular with the Spurs’ faithful on social media too.

There is still no knowledge of whether Son is aware of this new chant or not. The Tottenham faithful can probably make him aware by singing it loudly and getting this chant in his head after the October break.
