Omg, Man City Just Dropped a Knee Slide Comp on Man United’s Head

Manchester City‘s recent visits to Old Trafford have been marked by convincing triumphs over their rivals. Manchester United failed to secure a single point against the Men’s as well as Women’s teams of Manchester City. But now it seems that Manchester United has lost the online media battle as well.

Last month Pep Guardiola’s side punished United 3-0 in United’s home stadium . More recently, City’s women’s team also claimed a convincing 3-1 win against their local WSL rivals. While Guardiola’s side has become accustomed to claiming victories, the women’s team made history by winning their maiden WSL Manchester derby at the iconic Old Trafford.

Erling Haaland and Phil Foden were among the goal scorers for Guardiola’s side whereas Lauren Hemp and Khadija Shaw hit the target for Gareth Taylor’s side. All four players, coincidentally, celebrated their goals with knee slides on the Old Trafford turf and City’s social media team couldn’t resist.

Manchester City’s media team relished their supremacy over local rivals Manchester United, seizing the moment to taunt and celebrate their dominance at the “The Theatre of Dreams”. The club’s social media team crafted a video compilation highlighting the players’ knee-slide celebrations.

Manchester City posted a video on X.com titled ‘Every City knee slide at Old Trafford this season!’ with a saluting emoji. The video was a compilation of all the four Manchester City goal scorers, namely, Halaand, Phoden, Hemp, and Shaw knee sliding their goal celebrations in the stadium of reds.

Manchester United are undoubtedly going through a rough patch but this video was just a rub in their face. It inevitably got the Twitter talking. People seems to enjoy the banter and the mockery of the Red Devils.

”There’s no way y’all cooked United this badly,” wrote one user on X, formerly Twitter.

”The OLD TRAFFORD is a training ground for Manchester City,”. Commented a City fan.

“Lmao the disrespect. I love it”. Gloated another.

“Arsenal and Liverpool could be so down bad and they still wouldn’t let this s**t happen” Commented an Arsenal fan.

This video was definitely rubbing salt in United’s wounds and did not sit well among the United’s fanbase.

“Small club mentality”. Commented a fan on X.com

“Knee slide comp, bring back club football, SHAME WHERE”. Said another.

The Red Devils are in a poor run of form and are struggling to keep pace with their local rivals in EPL as well as WSL. Manchester City’s triumphs on the pitch and through cheeky social media jibes and iconic celebrations are just a reflection of their dominance over their neighbors.

Can Manchester United finally turn the tables around or will Manchester City just strengthen their superiority over the Red Devils? The football fans will have to wait until 2024 for that answer.
