FPL Latest: Is there a Double Gameweek in GW32 — Teams with a Double Date, Transfer Strategy, and More

Double Gameweek, Double Gameweek 32, FPL

We are going through the second double gameweek on the trot and there is a blank gameweek waiting for us in GW29. But now it has come to light that there will be another double gameweek in gameweek 32. Here’s everything you need to know about the third double gameweek of Fantasy Premier League 2024-25.

Newcastle United are eyeing for silverware after almost half-a-century, as they have booked a place in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley against PL-leaders Liverpool. This has resulted in a blank gameweek 29 for Eddie Howe’s team, as it coincides with the high-voltage clash. Meanwhile, this has also led to an extra fixture for Isak and co. in gameweek 32.

Newcastle were scheduled to meet Crystal Palace at St. James’ Park in gameweek 29 and hence, both of them will have a double date in DGW32. Eddie Howe’s side will also host Manchester United, who are languishing at the 15th spot despite remaining unbeaten in their European campaign. Whereas, Oliver Glasner’s men will have another away fixture at the Etihad.

Considering the current scenario, this would be a gameweek to target the Newcastle assets. Alexander Isak(£9.5m), who has been phenomenal in this campaign, could be the undisputed choice for the armband. One can use the triple captain chip too, if Salah has not taken it away yet.

Apart from Isak, Murphy(£5.1m) and Gordon(£7.6m) could be exciting picks too. On the other hand, I will vouch for Munoz(£4.8m) and Mateta(£7.3m) from Crystal Palace. Though they have a relatively tougher fixture, Palace can be always entertaining and ready to punch above its weight.

If you play your second wildcard in gameweek 30 or 31, it would be wise to bring them in. By the way, this would be an excellent opportunity to play your assistant manager chip with Eddie Howe(£1.5m), as he would sit in the dugout against Villa and Ipswich in the following two gameweeks. You can use it in GW31 as well, if you are not wildcarding, as Newcastle plays Leicester City.
